In this assigning we will be looking at the social cost to psychological science relating to conformity. We will be evaluating and researching into several different studies, Sherif (1935), Solomon Asch 1907) and Moscovici (1960) and how and wherefore all individuals conform. The Dictionary of psychology defines conformity as generally allowing one persons opinions or views to be affected by prevailing opinions, actions, attitudes and perception of others. I feel in relation to the above references, in my opinion conformity is passing along with group norms, being persuaded to follow others and to fit in with group normality and socially being influenced by others.
